From November 2 to November 4, 2023, an inspiring event took place that combined creativity with empowerment: the Exhibition of Arts & Woman Empowerment. This remarkable program was dedicated to the women of the community, known affectionately as “ibu-ibu,” who gathered to learn the intricate art of batik making. 

The event was designed to provide these women with practical, hands-on training in the traditional craft of “membatik” (batik drawing). Over the course of three days, the participants immersed themselves in the detailed processes of designing and creating batik textiles. Under the guidance of skilled batik artisans, they learned about the history, cultural significance, and various techniques of batik art, from drawing patterns on fabric to applying wax and dye. 

Each session was structured to allow the women to practice their skills directly. They began with basic designs, gradually moving on to more complex patterns as they gained confidence and expertise. This event was specially designed to provide aspiring women entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to successfully start and manage their own businesses.
